Cannondale R3000 'Si' with Time 'Si' full carbon fork

Cannondale R3000 Si frame and fork for sale.

This was Cannondale's top of the range race rig sold in 2002-2003. It comes with the Time 'Si' Slice full carbon 1 1/8th fork and a new Campag Chorus headset (integrated headset) and 'Si' steerer bung.

The only mark on this frame is 'very small' chip to the paint work on the non-drive side seat stay shown in the last pic of slideshow. Rest of the paint work is in perfect condition. Glossy clear coat lacquer is perfect. It builds up into a very light, fast and nimble bike. The stiffness of the frame and efficiency of power transmission is astounding and built with the 10spd Record gruppo (as shown in the pics) the way this frame responds to power input is extraordinary.

Looks very nice. Can i ask if the paintwork is original, the decals look slightly crooked on the downtube, unless it's just my hangover.

Yes this frame has the original paintwork. I've read that for a couple of years it was only available in two colours. The 'Giro' Pink you see here or silver.

The four black and white Cannondale logos wrap around the down tube in a spiral pattern, so in a way I suppose they are sort of crooked ... but it is intentional.

Once ridden you can understand why. This thing loves going up hills and I think the statement by cycling author Jim Langley in my signature really does ring true in this case.

Only reason I'm selling is the top tube is little too long. I have tried riding with the saddle 10mm further forward than my usual set back (with all other contact points in same postion) and again using a 10mm shorter stem than my regular set-up, coupled with a short reach Deda Zero 100 bar. With my proportions I am still a little too stretched out for anything more than a 2 hour ride.
