I recently acquired a bike from a basement in a property i'm renovating, it has no markings but does have a serial number which looks like its been stamped by a paralitic blindman!!
the serial number is 51908907166, it also has a cannondale cable clip on the base of the frame.
I have searched the internet and found that it's a 19" frame made in august 1989/90, I'm assuming it's made by cannandale on the basis of the clip and serial number.
It has Araya RM20 wheels, shimano deore xt headset, deore xt rear derailleur, deore xt front derailleur, deore xt u rear brakes and levers/thumb. shimano sg crank, shimano 7 hyperglide casset, it also has pace rm30 forks which i'm assuming are a later addition.
the spec seem closest to the sm1000.
I know nothing about this bike but am hoping to restore it to it's former glory, as at the minute it has a really bad flaky deep pink paint job!! but the frame seems in good order, will know more when it's been stripped.
does anyone have any pictures/info I can use and any idea of whether its going to be cost effective to restore it????
