You will probably find that the stanchion diamterer has increased over 5 years,
so,
No.
Probably

pooh the z2's I am getting has the top red cap bit missing and guy thinks there might be a washer missing :(

You could be okay.

Dependent upon the style of forks i.e. if they are both the same design they should be fine.

If one is the CNC arch version and one the molded CNC version they you might have a problem .

I recently swapped a lower leg over from some 1997 forks for a 2000 fork so that I could use the IS disc mount.

Do you have any pics?

Willdo some pic's in a min. Be great if I can swap or do something with the ones I am getting.

I think most 2000 forks still used the 30mm stanchions, even up to 2002 they where still being used (hence the same seals and bushings) but of course 2000 to 2002 other versions started coming out I assume.

BUT if the legs

But the Z5's I know are flylight so air/oil and not spring (by I know, as in what I just found in google ;) and in their manual (at marzocchi) they looked to be based on my 1999 Z2 SuperFly's so yes you should be able to put the whole legs into your crown.

Ok cool.

What it is the 2000 z5's are silver and I need red bombers so I sm getting the red 1996 z2's . But the z2's have the red cap and maybe a washer missing of the top of the left stachion. So not sure if can use the z2's as is??

Not sure am told by guy getting them of that they were 96. :? They maybe 97 they are red. Will try find pic he sent me
