It has been suggested on other forums that the guy is only putting that price on at attract attention to his many other (more reasonably priced) items for sale, knowing no-one will ever pay that much. Sneaky. :roll:

IMHO, the wrong way to do it! Anyone seeing the brakes would probably assume that all of his other kit was similarly priced and not bother checking any out.

Should have posted a cheap 'un first with the usual 'see my other stuff' in the listing!
