Old School Grand Master
Just wondered as I have just bought some gorgeous old campag rims in 26 inch n.o.s.and wondered what company specced campag on mtb's back in the day,Cheers.

Dynatech Voyager and Endeavour had Campag groupsets but only Camp'o rims on the Endeavour.
erm.... Peugeot and Look had the odd model I think, maybe Klein ?? :?
- and then there were builders Like Mercian and Roberts, and I've seen a couple of Campag'd Fat's.

Campagnol has begun to sold mtb groupos at the end of 90ies until 92-93.
First generation as euclid was very massive (and heavy) with a star-trek design. Someone love it. Someone really hate it.
But Campagnolo with the high quality road part mind, has never understand the spirit of MTB. And, in comparison with an XT groupo, they were really expensive. But they were the first to develop 8 gears groupo, twist shifters…

In 1992, they sold new groupos like record OR or Icarus, with really beautifull crankset and brakes with the grafton design. But, like Suntour, they desappear around 1993…

They made very lightweight rims too like the "Contax" (under 400gr).

The rims where common place compared to the groupset.

Orange had Compag in it spec list for their bikes as well, of course since you bought the frame and then specified the bike* it was easier not like now where you by a pre specified bike

*unless the shop had specified it's own

The 1992 Saracen Kili Ultra was specced with a full Campagnolo Record OR groupset and Stheno rims.

I'll bet there won't be many of them around.
