A few weeks ago I pedalled over to Hemel Hempstead on a Saturday afternoon, a nice ride out and back from Gerrards Cross.
Unfortunately, on the rise back up to Bovingdon the spring in my rear mech snapped, leaving me a single gear of 53/24 and a terrible chainline.
You may know the spring in question - inside the top pivot, 16 twists of square wire, fixed in place by the the little pins at either end.
Now, when I left my previous job in April this year, I was the proud owner of exploded views of the whole C-Record groupset from the catalogue of 1989, with part numbers and all. I am, seven months later, unable to locate said details and think I left them behind.
Is anyone in possession of the catalogue, service diagrams, part numbers? I'd hope Campag still make the spring, but if not does anyone know of a good replacement/OEM part?
All help/suggestions/offers of parts gratefully accepted!
