Wicked. What does he do? Does this level of motorsport fund itself?

he owns his own garages, and started off funding alone.

when he won the mini championship that opened the door to sponsors etc that helps but its still mega expensive.

think the cars are £130,000 each (he wrote one off the first time he tested it) and it costs £30,000 a weekend to run them, then the staff and truck, then parts and a depot to store them.......bloody expensive.

Thats more than a lot of people earn a year!

My business partner races a BMW 2.0 E30 series. I think that is a lot more affordable, but still offers BTCC style fun.

wow that is expensive.

the funding of race teams always interests me as there surely becomes a point at some level where it is profitable. (according to jackie stewart's book anyway...)

i suppose the majority of teams do it because they are petrol heads and the works teams do it as advertising.

havent seen any bttc for ages.
