BSA Unusual part? - Have you seen one of these?

Hi,

I have a BSA Safety Shopper from 1950's and sadly her 3 speed Sturmey Archer Indicator spindle has broken.

The actual chain which connects to the gear changer cable has sheared off :(

The part I need for this looks quite different to normal indicator chains/spindles and I wondered if anyone has seen one like this before and if you would know who to contact about getting a working component to replace this broken one.

As you can see from the pictures, the part is quite long and connects together in the middle by screwing together with a very fine little thread.

The first picture is the one off my bike with the broken chain section
The second is what it is meant to look like, as far as I can tell.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Rich

Update

Thanks so much for the link and reply.
Sadly the challeng goes on as they do not have this part for my hub.
The hub appears to be the original 1940's 3 speed hub gear.
These were made by Sturmey Archer and the Hub was printed with the BSA brand mark.

I took it to a bike specialist in Brighton and even he had not seen this exact part before!

So it would seem the best option would be to actually find a place that might have an original 1940's working hub to replace mine.

Any ideas folks?
