British Eagle

Retro Newbie
I picked up this British Eagle in May of last year and have just now begun cleaning her up. The link below is to some information and insight that I learned shortly after acquiring it. Perhaps I might find some information here as well. I have found several other examples of British Eagle bicycles but nothing that quite matches up with this one. The lack of braze ons, top tube cable guides, rack eyelets, leads me to believe this frame is from the mid 70s.

To review some of the information in the link.........27.0 seat tube, Campagnolo dropouts front and rear, no markings on the steer tube, no helical ridges inside the steer tube, Serial #85259 on BB.

I will get some fresh pics together shortly.................

I have read that some folks from Falcon may have started British Eagle. Does that fit the timeline for this frame?

Very nice find, especially with the early DA components. I'm surprised to see a Northwich address on the headbadge. I've always thought they were based in Newtown Mid-Wales as a Frank Clements company after Falcon etc.
