Brev Campagnolo dropouts?????

Quick question.....

Does the use of campagnolo dropouts help determine the quality of a frame or were they common fodder on mountain bikes?

A frame that I am contemplating building up has "Brev Campagnolo" on the rear dropouts with space for screws and the forks have some thing similar......

No actual pics as yet but they are identical to these:

Any help would be much appreciated.

On road bikes at least, they are a sign of a high end frame. I'd imagine the same would be true on an MTB.

They're not actually hugely expensive - But you wouldn't waste them on a crappy frame, as there are much cheaper plate-steel options around.

I am sure they are not the Ti ones which is a shame!

Does anyone know of specific brands that used this style of dropout?

I have a vintage road bike with head badges “Feather Cycle” while its rear dropout “Brev Campagnolo” ..... The stem was GB , another very old part.

Can anyone share with me it’s origin ? Is it a campy category?

'Brev' means patent.

Campagnolo dropouts were widely used by framebuilders.
