BR-M739 V Brake Help!

Retro JB

Devout Dirtbag
Hi, a bit of a long-shot but here goes...

I'm after a part for my V Brake (BR-M739). It's the long metal spring & black circular piece that holds it in place (that also has the small cross-head screw, and locating pin) and washer.

They are side specific, the side I'm after is the side that the end of the brake cable goes and the screw clamps down on to. Not the side with the horse stirrup looking bit .

Hopefully the picture will make things more clear. If you don't have one, can you point me in the right direction.

Many thanks, JB.

Let me take a look as I may have a spare bit or two kicking about. If you don't hear from me drop me a pm as I've a memory like a sieve at the moment.

I've just been rummaging in the garage and I've only got so are buts for the side with the noodle clamp. I've got mist other bits for the other side apart from the two bits you need I'm afraid.

Thanks for taking the time to look. JB

Can you not just reassemble the one you have ? They do go back together quite easily you know. Then its the bolt holding it all together and thats not going anywhere :?

Had a similar issue with a set of XTR. one pair was complete the other was missing the long spring.
In the end i sold it as there just werent any single ones coming on the market as spares.
Well right up until i sold them  Then ebay was full of them

What's up with that one? Or is the one in the pic for illustration and not the damaged one?

Sorry, the photo was off the interweb to best illustrate the exact one I was after. I simply don't have this bit and in desperate need of one.

Have you tried SJS Cycles? They're usually the best place for Shimano spares, if those parts were ever available as spares of course...

Yep, I looked, but nothing. I get the impression these weren't available as a part, so was hoping someone had one lying around.
