Bought parts but not all items delivered, what would you do?

99.99% of my purchases on the 'bay or other online marketplaces have gone without any issue. Items that I want I bid on, some I win, usually they come within a few days and I've never had any issues such as items being different from their description or non deliveries. Guess I'm lucky but I just avoid the dodgy looking sellers or anything that looks too good to be true.

Lately I reacted on an advert where the seller offered some M900 parts for sale. Shifters, front mech, cantilevers, bottom bracket and 8 speed cassette. All in used but good condition, offered for EUR80. Not a bad price. As I knew the seller also is active on a Dutch online bike community, I contacted him and we made the deal.

Stuff arrives, all is there except the canti's. :(

Contacted the seller in a friendly way through the mailfunction on the advertising site. No reaction. Contacted again, no reaction again. :?

Now what to do? Should I leave it, even though I haven't received what we agreed? Or should I become a bit more persistent? I don't like the seller going incommunicado here. We're grown up people and I don't think the value is so high that it's an issue for either of us.

Appreciate your thoughts here...

You should contact ebay Jerone. I'd at least want a partial refund.

Send a mail giving 24hrs to respond then if no comms raise an eBay dispute or if forum bought a Paypal claim (assuming you paid with the goods service). It worked for me when my seller went quiet, paypal removing their funds forcibly tends to have a profound impact on people.

Reading the OP's post I don't think he did buy through Ebay.
A paypal dispute seems to be the only route, unless gift was used...
