99.99% of my purchases on the 'bay or other online marketplaces have gone without any issue. Items that I want I bid on, some I win, usually they come within a few days and I've never had any issues such as items being different from their description or non deliveries. Guess I'm lucky but I just avoid the dodgy looking sellers or anything that looks too good to be true.
Lately I reacted on an advert where the seller offered some M900 parts for sale. Shifters, front mech, cantilevers, bottom bracket and 8 speed cassette. All in used but good condition, offered for EUR80. Not a bad price. As I knew the seller also is active on a Dutch online bike community, I contacted him and we made the deal.
Stuff arrives, all is there except the canti's.
Contacted the seller in a friendly way through the mailfunction on the advertising site. No reaction. Contacted again, no reaction again. :?
Now what to do? Should I leave it, even though I haven't received what we agreed? Or should I become a bit more persistent? I don't like the seller going incommunicado here. We're grown up people and I don't think the value is so high that it's an issue for either of us.
