~ ~ Bontrager / Tange Switchblade ~ ~ QUESTION ????

I know Tange Coppied Bonty's...then Bonty actually made the Switchblades for Tange shortly after..

My question is this.
I pulled a set of Old Blades from a friends pile.
They are 1 inch threaded.

and they have a " 5 " stamped under the crown.

I have seen a set of Bonty's with a " 7 " Stamped on the underside before.

What is this number ??
Is it the year ??
Does it signify a difference between Bonty's and Switchblades ??

I've got a switchblade since a very short time. The main difference between the bonty and the switch is the diameter of the tubes : 1" for bonty, more for the switch.
Secondly, I'm not sure that the bonty was made in tange steel. I think it was True temper.

The bonty crown is the same than the RockShox 1.

I might be wrong, but i seem to remeber the # stamped on Bonty crowns had to do with the rake of the fork.
