correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the seller to be off on a couple claims:
-The frame looks TIG welded, not fillet brazed, which would make it a mid to later CX.
-It has later OR decals with an angle to them, not straight, so probably replacements, not as claimed "before cx".
-The Steelman fork, while being nice and original, was not the earliest fork. from what I've read and seen it was the middle to late years fork- still a nice fork, and the early fork would not have been threadless.
-early cx frames did not have a separate seat post collar; it was integrated into the seat tube.
-also, the seller has not posted a serial number.
Hard to believe his info due to the errors above. Still a nice Bontrager frame, but not necessarily the CX rarity he is claiming; perhaps interested parties should seek higher resolution pics and some clarification.
