A very respectable weight indeed, and a superb price, but by the time I've added a shim it's not quite weenie...

Sure I'll regret passing on it when the silly light thing I end up buying snaps, probably on top of Skiddaw as the sun begins to set and storm clouds gather, but it's the only way I'll learn :roll:

Have the bike in my hall - I think the good lady has herself a proper bargain! Although I have myself a bunch of thankless work (regreasing pedals, swapping stems, setting up brakes, truing wheels and I think possibly a new BB...). Will find a way she can repay me though - probably through cider at 2000Trees Festival in the Summer (well what were you thinking of...? )

I made that sound bad - it's a great looking bike and looking forward to giving a quick test ride for her

Thanks for all your help getting it to me, delivering it weekend after next so it'll get a ride in Cardiff that weekend with any luck...

Then there'll be room for my new project!
