I'm looking for a sound steel frame in around 18 inch for 26inch wheels with forks and headset (and anything else that might be left on) to build up in a tourer to take across West Africa. So it will need to have braze-ons at the rear to take a rack.
I posted about this before looking for a full bike, but I've decided that I'm going to build something up instead so I end up with something more suitable. I've scavanged a contemporary Deore drivetrain from an old bike I took across France, and I'm going to have some wheels custom built to handle the dirt tracks with a load on.
An outrageous paint job would definitely be a bonus!
