But im getting it blocking two items they seem to be calling bug's .Google-analytics and OpenX.

Not sure if these are needed for the forum,but i can add us to my whitelist that is needed :?

I've not had any problems when using on this site. One thing i did notice no ads

No problems either.I only wondered because we receive funding for ad links,i dont want to lose us any money.

Admittedly ive always hated these targeted ads that really arent targeted,but are general sale sites with your home town added to the title.for instance i get 'best voucher deals in Glasgow' reality is they just change the title,it could say 'best deals in Timbuktu',or anything really :?
But i dont like it anyway :evil:

OpenX and Google Analytics are both used on this website. For serving adverts and analytics.

Don't really have many adverts on this website compared to basically every other cycling forum out there. If people start blocking the ads then the site will lose revenue. If enough do this it'll shut down. The adverts are necessary.

I don't think that the ads that are here deteriorate the pleasure of this forum one iota. Better to have them than no Retrobike.

Sounds good. It gives us some control over which sites we choose to support. I am perfectly happy to allow adds to support sites such as this but resent supporting certain sites I use for research purposes. This gives us a degree of choice in the matter. Adds on here are not intrusive and are hardly noticeable anyway.

I suppose if it became widely adopted though, some sites would check for the relevant controls and prevent access to the site unless they were in place and running.
