Anyone got one? Thinking of binning off my E71 for one of these. Any good or not?

I have the slightly earlier model, the Blackberry Curve 8310.

Perfect for what I need from a phone.

I run 2 email accounts on it, take quality photos, browse the internet, text and calls. It also came with a PC > Phone lead which connects to a BlackBerry desktop manager software package for playing with your app's, backing up and quickly taking pictures off (although you can just email them to yourself).

You can also download BlackBerry app world for plenty of free/buy applications. I run a quality free 7 day weather app which updates every 1hr. Quite useful to be honest.

I'm with O2, 1000 texts, 800 minutes for £32 a month on contract.

I have the 9000 , model before the 9700 came out .

it is great , but battery doesnt last and not as many applications as the Iphone .

I also have 2 emails on it but could add another 8 .

if your going the route, an Iphone really is a good option. yes everyone has one. But they are so nice to use, and offer so much more than any other phone I have had. I havnt had a Blackberry in recent years but my friend has a 8130 and it simply doesnt come close to the Iphone in terms of 3rd party support etc.

The next-gen Iphone will be out in the summer, along with V4 of the operating system (which Iphone 3gs users will be able to install) which will offer some form of multitasking capability, fixing the one area I would currently criticise about the iphone's OS. As I said the feeling of following the heard when you buy one is the only major floor that they cant patch out!

for the apps , is there somewhere with uk only applications as all the ones I have seem to be for the USA .

I have one JV and can't fault it, the battery will last 2 days and thats with about 1 hour talking every day and reading 20+ emails a day too.
I don't really use it for much else other than taking the odd picture.
It primary role is for my emails for work.

id have to say no, i do absolutely loathe blackberries though. and i love nokias!

what pickle said > you van get nokia phone manager which does the same as the blackberry one

i find nokias one of the simplest softwares on the market. my mrs new sony ericsson vivaz (8.1mp hd camera! ) has even licensed nokias s60 software! so its not just me that thinks nokias are great

I got one about 3 weeks ago and love it, really easy to use battery life is 2-3 days for me with pretty heavy use, love the instant email access and generally how easy it is to use with all the apps .... Id recommend it for sure 8)

I had the oeiginal bold and was very impressed with it.

Was very tempted with the 9700 but just couldn't give up my iphone
