I have a feeling i have seen them forks on another bike not a GT, may just be similar, they are a bit like a handsome dog fork but not, but there is some bike that comes as stock with them forks and they have a name too, can anyone enlighten me?

a quick look at bikepedia, so not definitive, would also suggest that all zaskars from 95 ish onwards came with suspension forks, and before that the bologna lite, which tht aint, but i have seen that fork before

They're a mass manufactured cro-mo fork that many companies use and relabel them and change the stampings on the top of the fork legs. You may have seen them on an On-One Retard.

Good forks though and very handsome. I just bought a set that are sold by On-One as their own brand. And I've seen them on E-bay branded differently as well. £40 is a good price though as the On-One version needs you to spend extra on V Brake adaptors to get them up to spec of you don't use discs.
