Bizarre French EGS Shifter and Brake levers -Sold!

Bought these last year on the bay and ended up going down a different Gallic route (mavic, mmmm). Possibly the most bizarre set up you will ever find. This one shifter does both front and rear gears . All aluminium and ti CNCed all over. Nearly new and comes with spares and instructions.

Perfect for that balloon tired cruiser that you're building, or just to be very different.

Paid a fortune for them but have to make space (and money) for new bits coming this way. Don't know what to ask so lets say £70 for everything but send me your offers as I'm sure the new owner will know better what they are worth to them!
First two pics are of the shifter, not of two separate shifters, just wanted to show both sides, and don't forget it comes with funky brake levers as well, mmm!

Obviously I am posting this at 12.00am on a Friday evening to try and attract a few of you fresh back from the pub when you may be a little befuddled and easily susceptible to a bizarre buy!

It was a french system , around 1998. 1 shifter for 2 mecht. The chain is going on the good speeds.
It was a very expensive groupo.

Iirc they used Shimano index spacing. We actually had a Dawes bike with a cheaper (read plastic) version fitted. They were a nightmare to set up but that was because we didn't have any instructions. We got there in the end though.

When they're working they're really good. They change the gears in a sensible way i.e. bottom 4 gears on the rear in the granny ring, all the rear gears on the middle ring and top 4 rear gears on the big ring. In other words it makes you use the gears how they should be used.

They are 8 SPd indexed, they work best with shimano and the egs system and are wayyy cool (honest)!
