Anyone who charges more than a fiver for stuff like this should be ignored. I recently pointed out to another chap that his postage was a little high, he harped on about having to buy a jiffy bag, pay for petrol to get to the post office etc.
If i remember rightly I wanted to buy a headset and he wanted a fiver for postage.
I'm meeting him later to collect some bits, so will be able to report back on his face-to-face rapport - see how it compares! I'm surprised he's not charging me for his time...
So I've done the deal with him - we met in a neutral location (his request) - to be fair he was actually fairly courteous face-to-face. I don't think he was too chuffed about me paying with a big bag of change though...it's the small things
I made a few suggestions re: postage costs etc, but his argument was "well sometimes I'm getting items that are worth 10-15 quid going for 99p!" I sensed I would be fighting a losing battle to try to show him an alternative viewpoint, so we went our separate ways.
His last words were "sorry about the thing" - to which I can only assume he meant "the shill-bidding" - so I guess that was some sort of admission of guilt...
