Bike insurance

What does everyone do about insuring their bikes?

I've been looking into this and my home insurance wouldn't cover the cost of replacement if they were to be stolen, also liability cover is non existent with home insurance.

To insure 3 bikes of a bike specific policy it looks likely to cost anything from £165.00 to well over £400 from various companies on the net

was with CTC for a while when did much more riding and living in London,

but mine are covered on house insurance (got through work thou), the fact several bikes is not an issue as long as not all out of house at once, ie one at a time (or 2 if include mrs), historically CTC was always good with 3rd party.

Mine are all on my house insurance. So long as they're in a secure place when at home and locked when left at a cafe etc. then they're covered. The feeling is that you can only ride one at a time away from the house so if they're locked away there then there's no problem. There may be a maximum value though if you've got a super-duper carbon flying machine.
