Big money BowTi frame in UK

Nice... not a bad price considering the cost of the RP23 and having it sent to the Steve Potts in the US. About what I'd ask for my frame if I was to part with it...

It's the same one as this on sale in our forum:

It's a big one, and while the Steve Potts tabs are great, she don't have v-brake bosses anymore as I believe they've been shaved off!!

It is indeed a beautiful frame... and sure, it's rare... but it's not priced on the cheaper side, eh? RP23s are everywhere and with all due respect for the sellers' asking price, 2500 smackeroos can buy you a lot of "complete build" retrobikes these days - even rare titanium ones!

Yeah its my one thought i would put it on ebay as free listings,i dont expect to sell it and if i dont i wont be too bothered, fancy getting a ti 29er made.
ok its top price but how do you price this sort of bike with the work done on it cost a few $$$.
the shaved off brake bosses are done so well you cant see where they used to be, to me this made sense to do and cleanes the lines of the bike up to.

the size is large but im 5ft 9" and it works fine for me

Didn't mean any of it as dig on you, Robin - it's certainly a stunning frame. Good luck with the sale, mate...

dont worry i didnt take it as a dig, i agree you can buy a lot of retrobikes for that sort of money, like anything depends what floats your boat.

Both my Ti's and several hundred quid change!

However by comparison they are run of the mill and relatively common.

I'm sure one of these was listed in the us as a bike for bout $8k or therabouts
