I can't make out from the photo whether this is a 92 or 93, but it certainly looks like a genuine Hot. Although the huge head tube makes me lean towards 92, I think the lines along the Kona decal may settle it for 1993, but I'm not sure. The Joe Murray sticker on the top tube would show it - block letters = 1993, script = 1992. Although both the spiral and the Ultrastrong down tube are consistent with 1993, the 92 Hot had both these features, in advance of the rest of the Kona range.

Hots were the custom built steel ones weren't they? Up there with Explosif and Kilauea...

The only Kona above a Hot is a Hei Hei, and even that is up for debate.
It depends on if you like American made Steel or American made Ti.
