Are there any particularaly good rims that can withstand the strength of abuse dished out by Magura HS33 rim brakes???
also, are there any recommended pads for these?

Are you talking modern rims? If so i use Mavic 717 with green blocks

Any rim will work, I've used a few different types with my HS33's and all have been fine.
Ceramic coated rims should help with the braking.
I've always used the black pads, which have been adequate, but will be trying the green pads shortly.

As a long-term Magura addict I've used Campag, Wolber, Mavic and Rigida rims. To be honest I can't tell any difference!

I used my maguras on my spins for a long time, but I had a problem once where the rim got crushed.............probably my fault panic braking and all that

But spin replaced the rear wheel under warranty for me,no problems after that, but my spins were ceramic coated as well 8)

yeah, i'll be looing for modern rims. im going to be working on a Specialized FSR 98 Ground control and would rather use my HS33s than standard v's. think it would make for a decent upgrade without having to go for discs and getting the adapter.

ta for the help
