Gents, I'm looking to buy some new SPD shoes but have to admit I'm struggling a bit. I'm after some fairly high end shoes but shops like CRC have only the dregs of sizes and colours, and merlin only have a couple of styles. Does anyone know of a good shop that has plenty of selection and sizes?

Help gratefully received.

I went to my local Spesh dealer, who also stocks Shimano as they were the shoes I was interested in, tried the Shimano, to narrow in the toe box, tried Spesh BG Sport, perfect fit, great shoes, go try them in your local Spesh dealers.

Another for specialized shoes 8) wiggle? or evans? and edinburgh bike co-op has a specialized web shop I think.

well i have always been a fan of the spec BG shoes, but when i tried a pair on last week ?? they felt to narrow. tried some northwave and they felt slightly wider ?? strange , as they are normaly narrow, i struggle to as i have boats fro feet lol size 12

Interesting - having ridden my Lakes into the ground I shopped for months visiting every bike shop I could before I found shoes that felt right. No easy options - depended on what the shops had left in the generally dissapointing stock.

The only shoes that felt right and I ended up buying (at a bargain price) began with an "S", ended with a "d", and had "pecialize" in the middle 8)

SHoes

I would only ever ever buy Spesh, so stiff, comfy and indestructable. I have a 15 year old pair of Sports, they're not waterproof, but just so comfy and breathable. I just put a pair of Waterproof Porelle dry sox on in winter, my feet then never get wet or cold either. Spesh are all wider fitting! So unless you have a slim foot, all the conti brands will be too narrow as Conti's have narrower foot than Brits n Yanks (geneological fact we have bigger foot bones-its the Neanderthal in us :D :D ) this is why Conti walking boots always blister us too!

Some top advise here, thank you very much. I've managed to find some SIDI bulllet II's from an italian shop. I'll give them a try, they say I can return them no problem should they not fit right, so nothing to lose by trying them. Thanks again.
