Best Free Anti Virus download?

Norton thingy has just expired...which free downloadable ones would you recommend please.

I have used AVG Free for about 6 years without any problems.

AVG is ace... use Avast! now (only because I had to uninstall AVG for some reason and it wouldn't let me re-install. . . for some reason).. :?

Either are arguably among the best you will get (even compared to paid-for progs)..

I used Norton, eventually after a couple of years my version wasn't supported and I didn't want to buy the latest so I uninstalled it. Just a word of warning, when you come to remove it don't forget to use the removal tool off the site or it will give all sorts of problems.

Have used AVG before but there was a compatibility issue with Zone alarm a while ago (since fixed) so I now use Avira.

most certainly yes. Had two Mac's hit by them. Norton saved me the second time.
