Had a few sets, some good, some not so. Currently running Original Deore LX ones on the Sorcerer with Avid pads, they are OK. Fitted a set of NOS Suntour XC SE's to the Pathfinder mainly for the looks, but my god they are Superb, nice feel and powerful with it. Easily better than the Deore LX ones, better than the XT ones I had back in the early 90's.

Wonder how they managed to mess up so badly when they made kit this good?

Carl.

m900 rock and also richey logic are good, the key is to set them up well, aparently it takes some time

stubbsy :D

exotica , machine tech

practical , dia-compe

quite like those suntour se one's sjs have cheap too

Campag Record OR are very good, thank's to the clever 'thrust-washer' type pivot me thinks. The original Boulder Bicycles brake was excellent too, better than the Onza copies.

Always liked Dia Compe 987's bitd.
Suntour SE XC are pretty good, I was impressed when I fitted some quite recently, pads make a BIG difference though, some Koolstop or Swisstop pads will likely tranform your canti's.

Onza's, a bit of a pig to set up but I can throw myself over the bars or lock the rear with a finger.............and they look nice

This is a bad thread for me ( tongue in cheek! ). I'm thinking of going back to cantis to save a bit of weight and improve the feel of the brakes.
What's light?
