Now I know that it's daft to be bothered by the BBC Sports Personality of the Year (as it implies, the 'award' is usually as much for personality as for sporting achievement) but I'll go ahead and be so anyway.
How on earth can Victoria Pendleton not be in the final 10? Sporting achievement? Triple World champion so check there. Personality? Very photogenic and always comes over in interviews as intelligent and charming so check there. And look at the final 10 - all impressive sporting achievements but the majority are not there for actually winning anything (and you could argue that most don't have much in the way of personality).
Surely it can't be just that it's a minority sport (and track cycling a minority within a minority)? Or did Paula Radcliffe just snag the 'token female' spot?
It is enough to make me not watch although that's forgetting that I don't watch anyway.
