Any idea what BB spindle width I need for some White Ind (the Sugino made ones) cranks ?
Had a look on Sheldon Brown site and this model isn't listed but looks like most Sugino are 113-118mm but then these were made for WI by Sugino so will be their specs .... or not ? :?

I ran a 110, which got a slightly rubby with 32/44 in top gear and on the middle ring. I reckon a 113 would be right.

Thanks ! CRC has new Shimano UN55's in 115mm width for £16.99 so think that'll be close enough. More sooner put a tiny bit more distance between the granny and chainstay.

I had frame clearance (old Marin frame without shaped seatstays for tyre clearance) but definitely the chain tended to rub the outer ring a little.

115mm should run great - if you have a fat seat tube you'll probably need it for the front mech space.

I fitted them to my Diablo which has a 122.5 BB in it and they stuck out quite a bit ! Mind you this does have some skinny stays so rather exaggerated things. So with that and your findings I think the published 113 to 118 width seems correct for these cranks. Going to err on the side of caution with my Pace frame as it seems rather wider at the point where the end of the crankarms reach along the stays and go with a 118 now.
