Basso Viper modern build (hopefully)

Anybody else built up one of these beauties?

When i moved out here to Germany I was told that the removals company wouldn't be able to ship my carbon road bike for insurance reasons at it was at risk of crush damage and as I was a bit low on cash at the time I decided to sell it. Beautiful thing it was, an Isaac Force all done in black and white with campag kit on it.

This left me modern roadbikeless and it's something I've been thinking of rectifiying for the last few months. I've had a thing for Italian steel ever since my retro colnago came along as it feels just so lovely to ride so I thought I might see if I can find a relatively inexpensive piece of italian steel to renovate. Trawling german ebay I noticed 2 things, number one is there are no bargains on german ebay, number 2 was they have a lot of old steel frames in this country to choose from if I want to spend money.

I fell in love with and finally bought this, a frame with a dent in the top tube making it less pricey but still very expensive but I couldn't help myself. I think it's the lines of it.

Purchased minus the wheels. I'm in the process of stripping the paint off ready to filler in the dent and respray in I'm thinking a much darker blue. My idea is to put decent shimano kit on it in a darker colour and then have a disgustingly bright finishing kit like a neon pink or flourescent yellow.

I really like the original colour scheme.
Could you repair the dent and just extend the silver by a few inches with an airbrush to cover it?

It's not just the dent, there's quite a few chips and one well worn area, maybe 3 inches long, where the paint is gone and the metal slightly pitted with rust that needs a good sanding out. The paint scheme I don't think is saveable and I fancy making it a dark bike, minimal silver and white except decals.
