picked this up a while back for a winter project but too many other things are getting in the way at the moment so offered to CC 'ers & retrobikers first .
its a Barry Bond of Leicester touring bike with Reynolds 531 butted tubes ,stays and forks . Paint work is scruffy but useable or ideally have it re finished . It has BB stamped in on rear stays and a B on each side on of the fork crown which have campag drop outs .
its a 23 1/8" frame from centre of crank to centre of seat pinch bolt and 22 1/2" along the top tube ctc . 27 x 1 1/4" wienmann alloy rims laced on to large flange shimano hubs with quick release skewers fr & rr . Mixture of gear components with levers being down tube mounted shiman , fr mech being a Suntour Sprint whilt rear is a shimano unit . Super maxy crankset with 170 mm arms .
full weinmann brakes set fr & rr along with drilled levers . 105 mm alloy sr quill stem and unbranded drops , brimalux 27.2 older style alloy seat post . PLEASE NOTE NO PEDALS OR SADDLE INCLUDED .
would make an ideal winter bike with some grease and a clean or a great rebuild project . Please note not tried and tested and sold as seen , do not expect to ride this far before doing work .
