Bar end shifters, preferably friction

I am cobbling together a retro drop bar mtb build, and in order to get the mismatch of components to work together i am after a set of friction bar end shifters. Does anybody have a set they are willing to part with? I thought i might have more luck posting it here than in the mtb section but please redirect me if i am wrong.

if you can get some, the Suntour sprung retrofriction ones are best. Light action to pull back and no slippage once in gear.

Are those the same as the dia compe ene shifters? They look great, but at £50 for a new set they will cost more than the frame!
