Just moved to Denmark, very flat especially the area I live. Made a few enquiries, found local club who is into mountain biking. Couple of emails meet after work today.

Turn up on my modern full susser, am surrounded by shaved legs and Scott Carbon Scales. - Get worried.

Start off to local forest, haven't ridden this fast for 15 years. Great swoopy singletrack you could never find without local knowledge.

Have to keep cutting sections to keep up. Everyone super friendly great ride.

Might even get fit at this rate.

Love mountain biking.

No I live near Esbjerg in Jutland. It was Varde Cycle Club.

Not sure what's in the water but they sure were fast.

Where do you ride in Denmark?

Local trails around Copenhagen, called "red" and "blue" because of the trail markings spray-painted on the trees in...you guessed it...red and blue! :D There are a few forests reasonably close to the city: Hareskov, Geels skov and Rude skov. Some prettu nice, fast single track and moderate hills. Depending on the conditions and where you are riding, or who you are riding with, you can ride a fully trail or xc bike, or geared or SS hardtail no problem. I use all three. A lot of the racers are pretty fast, but it mostly depends on skill level/experience and familiarity with the trails. Me and my friends rip it up pretty good, but we certainly aren't the fastest. We also ride for fun and like the technical as much as, if not more than speed. Of course, combining the two is always nice. :)

Sounds good I was in Copenhagen the other week but only for a course so no time to ride!!

I am thinking of single speeding my Pace for winter rides around the forest I reckon it would be perfect for it.

I think it is great as soon as you are on a bike you can talk to someone else on a bike and then they show you the best trails in the area.

SS is perfect for winters here with all the mud. Nice and easy to clean the bike after too. Yup, mountain bikers are pretty friendly with each other and always eager for a ride. There's an mtb site here, but if you can't read Danish yet, it won't do you much good. :?
