It needs a bit of work - rust spots, buckled rear wheel, knackered cables, sun faded in places, barely working gripshifts, dead saddle and scratched seatpost. Think it's lived outside for a bit. However it's got a carbon fibre handlebar, XT levers (minus pods? wonder if any other shimano models will fit?) and a new rear changer.
I think it's still great for 31.50! And he was a nice bloke.
It's going to get fettled soonish but not to showroom standards - just get it going in the first instance - love it really.
Ooo it's a bit heavy at the back!
Dont want to piss on your fire, but i picked up mine for a £10 - minus a few things (Seat, front wheel), had a stuck seapost and a stuck bb - but here is the finished result - http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... =karakoram
Here was what it was before (back wheel not shown) (i didnt even knoew he would chuck one in)
Soaked through!
Great job - how bad were the rust spots?
