Australia: so much water!

As a victim of flooding a few years back I can really understand how awful things like that can be. My thoughts are with them.

I still cannot get my head around the statement

"The flooding is affecting an area the size of France and Germany combined"

That's f huge

I think the BBC will be in trouble over this.

Isn't their standard measure of area the Wales?

They must be 'in pain' not being able to use their prefered area measurement of football pitches.

It looks very bad there. I have friends in that part of Australia and my thoughts are with them and everyone else.

Looks like the peak of the flooding will be later today. My thoughts and good wishes go to all affected by this tragedy.

I was going to mention the Wales aspect but thought it would go over heads, obviously underestimated Retrobike readers. I apologise. I now want to know how deep the water is. In Nelson Columns, of course.
