Atlanta 96 wheels free hub compatibility

Hi I've got a set of Atlanta 96 wheels coming with 28hole Campy 8 speed hub. I see there are all sorts of issues with the Campag cassettes; my question is, is there a Shimano freehub that will fit the campy hub, allowing me to use 8/910 speed shimano cassettes? I'm running a 10sp Campag veloce Gs at the moment on a set of wheels with a dura ace 10sp cassette and everything is very smooth. Eventually I want to convert the bike back to a 9sp Record groupset and ideally I want to be able to use the Atlanta wheels on both the 9 and 10sp setup by just changing the cassette.

In short, no. 8 speed was state of the art when the hubs were made.

Some hubs from around 1996-98ish had interchangeable bodies with early 9 speed and 8 speed. This might be worth a try.
Alternatively, you can cut down 9/10 speed sprockets as the hub spline design is identical on 8 speed, only shallower. It's a lot of faff though.

Thought that would be the case. Maybe I'll just get the wheel rebuilt on a 10sp hub.
