Are you generally mistaken for being older or younger?

So I was in TK MAXX the other day and was refused the purchase of a set of kitchen knives because the female cashier thought I looked under 21 (I'm 32!).

And when I was 27 I visited a grammar school to drop some books off for my mum (a teacher) and I was asked why I wasn't in school uniform by a teacher. The school is for boy's up to 17-years-old. Yes, she thought I was about 15/16.

Has anybody else been mistaken for younger / older now or in the past. Is it a burden?

I was often served in pubs when my schoolchums were refused, but recently, in local shops I've had young till-girls talk to me in that tone of voice like they're speaking to their grandads

"Yes, have you got your club-card? yes? your clubcard?"

I may lose my temper one day and pwn their cherry-asses.

yep, im 32, and was mistaken for a teenager a while back, I look about mid 20's, I say 8 hrs sleep and no responsibilities keep me looking young

Older, usually about 40. The white hairs on the temples do it, plus the wrinkles around the eyes from years of glare off the sea.

I'm 33. :(

I'm 43 but could easily pass for 20 or 21.

al. :D

From my mid 20's until aged 40 people thought I was in my 40's
Now I'm in my 40's people think I'm in my 40's.
Ridiculous, I was born to be middleaged
