£2/m is a rather small budget for this kind of thing :? ,£9 or £10 is closer to what this kind of kit usually costs
What is it for exactly?
Chippings[planer/thicknesser/lathe/spindlemoulder]
Or
Dust[Sawbench/bandsaw,radial arm saw]
for chippings 4" is about the minimum bore you'll need whereas with dust a minimum of 2" is fine, you can even reduce that down to 1" if needed.
It's all about air volume :D

It it's router set into a table a dust extractor with a low volume high pressure hose will capture more than a larger diameter hose where the pressure is reduced

3 weeks ago i had an elektra beckum chippings extractor with 30" of high end crushproof 6" hosing for sale.
Sorry gone now

Axminster tools is a bloody handy company  8) 8)

It's for enriching the ferrets environment

No... really it is....

Using the 4" drainage pipe (the flexi stuff) at the moment but I really could do with something a little more bendy... and less brittle...
