Anyone know anything about syncros big box rims?

Trying to decide what rims to lace to my nuke proof hubs for my pace build. So far considering sun cr-18, WTB speed master and I've also some across some syncros black box rims but I don't know much about them. Anyone had any experience with these? The look pretty nice, strong and whilst I've surfed the internet there is not that much info about these so does anyone have any opinions, experience, advice about them?

Thanks

Here is a pic of the rim in question:

I laced them with some dx hubs and they seem to be holding up just fine. No issues with them and they should be able to take a beating! The only thing that I have against them is the weight. It makes my RM Hammer weigh more!! But no complaints. Cheap, durable, and easy to work with!

Thanks for the info, two words spring to mind that concern me though - cheap and heavy - not sure that I want this in a rim.

I think the ceap thing may be relative. Syncros have never really made any cheap stuff.

True, good point well made.

Does anyone know what age/era this particular rim is from?

This is not a bad rim, good quality/strong.. age beginning 2000-> (logo the new one).

You will probably have to use 263-265 spokes to them and the Nukes.

I take it these are the ones from the states?

Being a thick set fellow I've always felt a stronger wheel pays dividends and if I was that worried about a few grams here and there I could easily deal with that either with a poo before a ride out or a change in my fry up before ride breakfast
