Anyone into guitars? Advice...

Im vaguely looking at buying a new steel body resonator, to mess up romeo and juliet on mainly! Anyway, the makers dont mean anything to me, they dont seem to be constructed by the traditional martin/taylor/fender/gibson et al - so whats ok quality/recommended???? (Im looking for new, BTW)

I have a Martin DM and a USA strat, and like a bit a quality...

From what I can recall from my days of working in a music shop, Dobro is the classic resonator guitar company. I also believe that they are owned by Gibson so should be of a reasonable quality.
