So I'm out on my local 20mile route this morning, which includes about 6 miles or so of sporadic disused railway
Anyway, I'm busy cycling down the railway when I hit a big patch of thick, high (over the top of my barends) grass. Pretty boggy underfoot, I came to a grinding halt and stepped off the saddle.
Then there's some rustling in the grass, and running off up the steep bank in the thick grass is an animal, and I have no idea what it is........
Best way to describe it was like a staffordshire bull terrier (which it most definitely was not
) only stockier, maybe slightly longer legs, in a caramel/brown colour. Thinking back it had ears similar to a deer, but the legs were way too stubby to be a deer.
No farms (or sign of life) for miles in any direction, so safe to say it's wild and not domestic, but what the hell was it.
by the time I had the camera out, t'was gone
Anyone help..
