Sorted - I bought something else!! 
I have my eye on *something* on eBay that is on a BIN, pick up only in London, SE15. It's a road frame/fork set, and I am still waiting for the seller to confirm the exact size. Assuming it doesn't turn out to be too big for me, is there anyone local to that area that would be kind enough to collect for me, and post on at their leisure, in exchange for hard cash - all expenses covered plus whatever you consider fair for your time/fuel/the hassle....??
