Any interest in sprint wheels for tubs?

Is there any great interest these days in wheels with sprint rims for tubular tyres. I have a few with Campag hubs - if there’s no interest I guess I will break them for the hubs. Shame though.

They have been becoming thin on the ground for a few years - we used to have dozens and now id say there's almost nothing left.
Potentially the wheels are now worth a little more than hubs only

Part of the lack of interest from the "old racer" riding crowd is there are no longer any inexpensive tyres available, and to pay for a repair is expensive too.

Yes but the old racer would know how to repair tubular Tyres including myself having done it a couple of times many many years ago….

What a pain in the arse repairing a tub is. I used to send mine for repair. Far better job than I could manage as a teenager.

Thought it was a rite of passage to learn how to repair tubs. It’s how I learned to sew.

Or was that just those of us who couldn’t afford to buy new ones?

Yes it was, I certainly couldn't afford lots of new tyres, which is why I tried repairing and came to the conclusion very quickly there were people much better at it than me.
It was not expensive to repair them and the repair was neat and lasted, so made sense to me.

Way back in the dark ages I only had one bike and used it for everything from going to school to time trials. All on sprints and tubs - which i fixed myself. My teenage sewing skills extended to turning my school trousers into ‘drainpipes’ - don’t know how my parents never noticed. They looked awful.
