Any Drunk eBay Bidding Stories as of Recently?

Retro Guru
I know I've seen this topic posted before...

A while back I saw an auction for a vintage Fat Chance with some cool retro parts that was ending at 5:30 AM my time in the US on a Saturday morning.

So I went out on Friday, partied like there was no tomorrow, after a quasi-rave, I got home at 4:30 AM Saturday morning with my head spinning from all the alcohol I drank, went to check my e-mails, got on eBay and noticed a Fat City bike I was watching was ending in 30 minutes, so I place my max bid, and pass out on my computer desk for about an hour till I almost fell on the ground, got up, refreshed the page, noticed I won, then hit the sac....wake up later that afternoon, first thoughts are "Did I Win?". "Was it a Dream".... Nope, I won!...another $450 USD that I really didn't need to spend, but what the heck, it's a Fat City bike right?

So I guess any others out there doing the same?

Drunk bidding

I'm bad enough with the old impulse buying without being drunk  An impulse buy last night has left me needing to get a whole new bike now. oh well. I NEEDED a new bike anyway, its been at least 3 months since i bought my last one :D

Oooof

NOS Pauls R.Mech. I mean it makes sense to build a bike around a R.mech....doesnt it?

Ebay Madness

I dare not drink and look on ebay, or even view this site, bad enough without a drink, going to see the docs next week think there is something wrong with me... some sort of retromadness I think ...

My drunken ebay purchases have never been quite so successful. Back from pub, open laptop, spot a freshly listed 1991 team marin frame with a BIN of £19.99 +about £20 p&p...BANG....SOLD.

In the morning read the auction advert text for the first time, discover my bargain frame had severe rot in just about every tube.......ahhhh bugger!

When drunk i seem to suffer from a "buy it now ask questions or read details later" dissorder.

My boss got pi**ed and ordered a load of cardboard Peter Kay fridge magnets.

They were picture cut-outs from 'TV times' and 'What's on TV' that were covered in Sellotape with a sticky magnet on the back.

Real classy stuff!

well tonight i bought a broadie road bike a pair of oakley mumbos (1992 model) and a kula frame (been drinking a while lol) and all for 135 quid so none too bad!

40th birthday bash and home for a BIN @ $260 for White industries Hub set and SS freewheel

I'm blaming the last JD

After a couple of beers last Saturday night I BIN'd the IF ss, felt quite guilty afterwards but have relaxed now as it really is rather nice.
