My mate does, but i would like some other opinions on what it is like to live or work there please ? 
Ant one live in Northhamton ?

we live just outside town on the northants, bucks border, transport wise the county has good road links, M1/M6, A14, A34/M40 so you can get to most places fairly easy dependant on traffic or the road works! the rail links fairly good I believe? dont have to use it so cant say 100% on it
public transport? again dont use it but towns full of bloody buses so it must be ok
shops...well thank god for online shopping as I get the urge to kill after spending to long in town :twisted: but it has a good mix of shops and a couple of good lbs's in the county if you need one?
Milton Keynes is just down the road so that's ok for shopping and opens up another work front plus you get a much better class of chav to punch there
Northampton itself is like most big towns, there are good parts and rough parts! there are places to avoid like most towns and citys
work wise there are loads of big companies based here from banking to F1 teams, work opportunities at the moment? not sure as I've not had to look for a while but I've always found something to do

I'm in Silverstone, about 15 miles West.
Northampton's a very large town, almost city-like in size, but still a pretty good place to live as far as I hear. Jobs/employment wise, there's still a lot of industry around, as well as office based so a good mix, depending on your needs.
Nice and central to a lot of things and plenty of good rides in the local area too
