How do I know it'll fit my frame? In ll the years I'm cycling, I never understood the sizing of bottem brackets

The upper BB fits both case-lenghts - 68mm and 72mm, thats the big tube at the bottom of Your frame. The axle length depends on, which cranks You've mounted - and how wide Your chainstays are built - and what chain-line You want

Thank you. The frame is a '94 Dekerf so that'll be 68mm. The crank I want to mount is a PAUL Mountain crank.

I have no idea what chainline I want. This will be my first SSer. Do you think it will fit?

I dont know for sure, but I had the same length with my middleburn rs1 shogun zero and it looks like the Paul cranks have the same flat spider (I mean the chainring mounts at the same position like the MB). I only sell it, because I swapped my blue Middleburn-cranks with purple speedTec cranks, which do NOT have a flat spider, its cranked to outside, so I needed a shorter axle.

The psoitive of the ac BB is, that You can adjust the chain-line on a short way, because of the 2 lock-rings (black ones), so You can screw the whole thing a few mm to the right or to the left, just like You need it. I would have done this, if the axle was 5mm shorter, but now I got a WhiteIndustries with 115mm - luckily.
