i could not work it out until i saw the last photo. that has tickled me for the day, to know that the man has just de-valued the bike so much, but he thinks he's created a masterpiece.

he even new the word retro so he must of known there was collectors, but he still painted it. just so funny i can see the alpine star boys now crying. I do feel for them. I'm just glad this man never got hold of a klein NOS.

Yeah what a total prat! The original paint looked very good, what's wrong with a few touchups? Nothing

If you are challenged in the refinishing department? A spot of hammerite...

But no captain calamity here repaints the whole bike, presumably right over the top of the old paint and the rust spots

Can't see what's so wrong, it's not like he's painted over the mona lisa but then all alpinestars except the Ti ones look like shite to me anyway. Funny thing is these two black resprayed alpinestars got people wetting themselves on here, so there's obviously no pleasing everyone:

But yes you have a point....on here it would be ok....but it would probably have been done properly and not painted over and the rust left :roll: :roll:
