I found the silver scouring wool you use for washing pots gets chrome nice and shiny - not brillo, but the coarse stuff. It doesn't seem to scratch the metal but takes all the rust off.

Wire wool with the soap on does it good just dont rub to hard and tinfoil/bacofoil silver side up rubbed on frame if not to bad will restore
