Its really a business to business site. A place to source wholesale good from the far east. I have used it to source supply for various electronic components, in the end we didn't actually go through with any orders but that isn't to say it is dodgy but it is certainly worth doing your homework.
We were looking for a supply of 1 amp power supply units and had a number of offers, however we had to really push for compliance records and in some cases despite what the suppliers stated it became obvious that the devices did not carry legally required safety marks insuring compliance.
With group sets etc I have no experience, but suggest you do your homework it is not unknown for suppliers in the region to counterfeit goods.
